Situated just minutes from Bath, Wells & Longleat the village of Norton St Philip boasts a 13th Century church, a 16th Century village Inn as well as the impressive stature of England’s Oldest Inn ‘The George’ just 23 steps from our front door!

The Plaine offers affordable luxury with our Four Poster En Suite Bedrooms. The rooms sleep up to 3 people and all have refreshment trays TV’s, Hairdryers and free WiFi throughout. A reliable and regular bus service takes minutes to whisk you through glorious countryside to Bath City Centre & the Park and Ride facility offers another transport alternative. Taxis and limousines can also be booked for you!

Road Directions

From M4 jct 18 take the A46 then A4 to Bath. As you come into Bath stay on the A4 until the second set of major traffic lights, where you turn left towards the A36. Go over the river and past the fire station, then at the end of the road turn right onto the A36 (direction Bristol). Stay on the A36 for approx 1 1/2 miles, and after a very short stretch of dual carriageway turn left onto the A367 (to Exeter), go up the hill, and at the end of the short piece of dual carriageway turn left on to the B3110 for Frome. This road leads through Midford and Hinton Charterhouse to Norton St Philip.
